I wish I was in Madrid right now. I miss the Spanish sun and heat. I miss the cacophony of sounds, the rapid speech, the friendly faces, and the general feeling I get when I am in my element and traveling to places far away.
As it stands right now I am only 26 days away from my flight. A busy 26 days at that. I still have 11 days of school, this week being the last week of instruction and finals beginning on June 8th. I won’t be done with the whole year until June 18th.
June 19th I will be helping a really good friend of mine with her wedding preparations for the 20th. I am in charge of the cookie table, good thing I am not a cookie monster, and I will be taking candid fotos of the guests as they arrive. Usually at weddings I don’t know many people, but this one will be different, there will be many friends and co-workers to help Jamie and Scott celebrate the beginning of a bright future!
Then the 21st I depart for my hometown for a short stop, then its on to upstate NY to visit my Aunt’s farm for a few days.
Then, it will be time to jam everything into my suitcase for a month in Spain. I seriously can’t contain my excitement! I just want to be there and be surrounded by everything Spanish!!!!!
