The happy and the sad..

Well here it is only 4 days away from my departure and I have a mixture of emotions. Let me run down the last few days.

Our last professional day! Woohoo, what a relief to finally be done with the school year.

My fellow TUST rep and I went in to school to verify our inventory and to clean up the labs. Since we had worked on it the week prior, it wasn't as daunting a task as last year, and we felt much better about the state of our technology in the school.

A good friend, Jill, and I met up for lunch. She surprised me with a BEAUTIFUL journal for my trip! I love it! After lunch Jill came back and helped me make more oreo balls for the cookie table the size of Texas for Jamie and Scott's wedding. It makes the task easier with more hands!
Jamie and Scott's rehearsal was that evening and it was a fine night for it! I was honored to be a part of it and I had the opportunity to catch up with some old friends.

9:00 - leave my apt to go get balloons for the signs and to pick up the cookies at Jamie's to drop off at the farm.
12:30pm - return to my apt to get ready for the wedding.
3:00pm - return to the farm for the most awesome wedding ever! I had a great time and it was awesome to see how happy Jamie and Scott were.

While at my mom's I recieved some very sad news that a very amazing young man, suffered an aneurysm.

Still at my mom's place. The young man mentioned above did not make it. It is a great loss to Rising Sun and to the world. He was going to do so many great things. A life that was cut way too short.
So that's where I am right now. Happy for Jamie and Scott, but incredibly sad for the loss of such a bright shining star.
