That means Fernando gets morning shift again tomorrow and I will take the evening shift tomorrow.
Today, I had to get my supply run done. This time the list was MUCH shorter only about 4 bags. I took the Metrobus again and round trip it only cost 2,10 euro. Now granted the bus doesn't do door to door service, but its gets me close enough. To get to the Carrefour, I just have to trek down a hill a ways to get to the store and back up to get to the return bus. It only took about 10 minutes each way. I have 2 more supply runs to go on throughout the duration of this trip and I think I can handle it.
Lunch today was crappy. We had this really icky sopa de fideos (noodle soup) and then the second course was a ground ham patty...it looked sketchy so I didn't even attempt to eat it. Luckily, I purchased some provisions at the store that will hopefully tide me over until 1. good food is served or 2. I come home.
Good news on the excursion and field trip fronts. I get to go on all of the weekend excursions, which means a second trip to Segovia for me! And the one I am most excited about going to is Valle de los Caidos. While it maybe morbid to want to see it, I think it will be a very good experience for me.
Basically, Valle de los Caidos is a HUGE monument/tomb from the Spanish Civil War. Francisco Franco is buried there. Franco basically had the prisoners of war build it in what we would consider labor camps. It has the tallest freestanding cross in the world and its HUGE!
Here's a link to the webpage, its in Spanish - http://www.cuelgamuros.com/inicio2.htm
A wikipedia article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valle_de_los_Ca%C3%ADdos
And some pictures -

I will post more pictures after my trip to it. But that won't be until next Thursday.
Hope all is well on your side of the Atlantic!
